How 4MK Auto answers buyers after the showroom closes

Buyers write in the evening and on Sundays, when the lot in Mirabel is closed. Here is how DriveGood AI answers them and what the team finds the next morning.

The dealership

4MK Auto sells used vehicles on Boulevard du Curé-Labelle in Mirabel, north of Montreal, near exit 31 of Autoroute 15. Financing is a large part of what it offers: its website speaks to buyers looking for a first, second or third chance at credit. The site is published in French, English and Spanish. 4MK Auto has been a Drive Good client from Drive Good's first days.

The challenge

The showroom keeps regular hours. It opens at 10:30 a.m. on weekdays, closes at 7 p.m. Monday to Thursday and at 5 p.m. on Friday, opens from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, and stays closed on Sunday.

Buyers don't shop on that schedule. Someone comparing vehicles after work, or a buyer who would rather ask about credit privately than at the counter, writes when it suits them: 9:30 on a Tuesday night, Saturday evening, Sunday afternoon. That buyer has often written to two or three dealerships at once. The one that answers first, with something useful about the vehicle, usually gets the next message.

A message that waits until 10:30 the next morning starts behind. A message that arrives on Saturday evening can wait until Monday.

How DriveGood AI handles it

When a buyer writes after closing, DriveGood AI answers right away from the details of the vehicle in question: year, trim, kilometres, equipment. If the buyer wants to see more, it sends the photos and the walkaround video. If the question isn't in the vehicle's details, it says so and passes the question to the team rather than guessing.

Financing questions are where a quick, careful answer matters most. DriveGood AI asks what the sales team would ask first: is there a trade-in, how does the buyer plan to pay, what budget, and when do they want to buy. It never promises an approval. The decision stays with the dealership and its lenders, and the answers reach the person who handles financing with the lead.

When the buyer is ready to come in, DriveGood AI offers a time during opening hours and books the visit or the test drive in the dealership's calendar. If the buyer goes quiet, it follows up by text and email until they answer.

Every conversation is saved with the lead in the dealership's DMS or CRM. At 10:30 the next morning, the team doesn't start from a bare "Is this still available?". It starts from a buyer who has named the vehicle, answered the first questions and, often, already has a time booked.

What buyers experience

A buyer who writes at 10 p.m. on a Sunday gets an answer that evening instead of on Monday. The answer is about the vehicle they asked about, not a "we'll get back to you". They can ask about credit without having to explain their situation face to face first, and they're never told they're approved by a machine. If they want to come in, they leave the conversation with a booked time.

DriveGood AI writes back in the language the buyer used. It never negotiates the price and never shares private information. Those conversations stay with a person at the dealership.
